Hi And welcome to eAnveshan. We are working on making your visit and interaction more enjoyable at eAnveshan, untill everything gets streamlined, we would want to provide some information on what you can do on eAnveshan. We have many methods of knowledge sharing and all of them are quite user friendly. We give you basic information and a few easy steps to go about the site.

Please bare in mind that in order to use the features we provide on the site, you need to register. Please do register, it only takes a couple of minutes.

Ancient Sciences & its Fields

At the Top Menu, you can find Ancient Sciences & its Fields. After Clicking on this, you will be redirected to a list which contains various fields of Sciences.If you do not find field of science on which you are willing to start research or share your information, click on the Add Child Page and add your field of sciences with small description.

On Clicking any field, if it contains sub-fields you will be directed to sub-fields. Now once you find exact place where you have to share your information and knowledge, you can Add a Child Page in order to make it appear as sub section of that field. There is no limit for addition of child pages. And if you want to comment on any field, you can directly comment by using comment option.

In this section of eAnveshan, we try to explore the branches of sciences ancient Indians had followed and the depth of knowledge and understanding at that time. We are trying to make as much sense of the fields during those times and we request interested individuals to come forth and arrange them in an appropriate order.

BioGraphies

This section of eAnveshan is to discuss the life stories of Great ancient Sages and scientists. You can Add a Child Page , if you want to share information of another Sage, or you can comment stories of Existing Sages.

< Science in Tradition

You can find this section at the Top Menu of eAnveshan.
This section of eAnveshan is dedicated to find out the scientific reasons behind traditions in our country. When we analyze some of their rules, we come to know that they have a deep scientific or a spiritual meaning. By discussing these issues, we will understand why we follow the traditions to this date and the meaning behind them, which seems to have been lost with time.
You can share your observation related to any tradition or religion by adding a child page,which you can find on the right of the reads. You can comment on existing articles , and have another view or story on existing article, you can add a child page below that article also.

History(Ancient Times)

You can find this section at the Top Menu of eAnveshan.

In this section of eAnveshan attempt to analyze the life style of people , their evidences in texts during the ancient times. This will help us understand why they did the things they did? The reasons behind their scientific discoveries can help us understand more about the significance of following them.You can Add a Child Page , if you want to share any story or you can comment on existing articles.

Blog

1. What is a Blog

A blog is a place where you can write your interpretation of any topic, it will be your voice and opinion. So if you have an interesting idea to convey, do Blog it.

2. How to blog?

Please log in with your user name and password.

On the home page to the top right hand corner, you will find the “Navigation Menu” .
In the Navigation Menu, You can see a Create Content. Below Create Content, you can see Blog Entry . Click on the Blog Entry and you will be able to create your own blog.

You can see your blog by clicking on my blog. And if you want to see list of all blogs at eAnveshan , click on the "Blog" just above "My Blogs".

You can comment on other blogs also, look for Add Comment Below the chosen Blog.

Comments

eAnveshan is all about comments. We encourage people to participate and express their views on every topic, poll, blog and everything that is on eAnveshan. To comment on any particular topic/blog/article/poll and etc, just click on the link of your interest, when it opens up, please find the link “Comment”.
Click on it and type your opinion. If you want to reply to a comment, just click on the link reply pertaining to that particular comment and type in your view.

Child Page

1. What Is a page?
A page at enveshan may be created when you to present a new topic, consider it more of a presentation than an opinion.
Unlike a blog, where you express your opinion in detail, in a page, however, you can provide research information and let participants discuss and comment on the provided information.

2. How to create a page?

In the navigation menu, please find the option page.

Click on it and you will enter a new page to create a page.

Type in the title and data in the given fields.

Save the page by clicking on the save button at the end.

To preview what you wrote, click on the preview button next to the save button, make changes if desired and save the page.

How to attach a description on a sub topic or more information to the page?

To write more about a topic on a page and if you think the comments space is in appropriate, you can use the option to add a child page. A child page lets you attach your page to the relevant topic and attaches to the main topic like the pages in a book.

A child page can be created by clicking on the link below the page topic which says “Add a child page”. You will enter a new screen similar to page creation. Fill in all the relavent fileds to you r data and save it.

Forum>

1. What is a forum?

Forum on eAnveshan is a platform to discuss a topic. Any one may start a topic and visitors to eAnveshan can add their views pertaining to that topic and take the discussion further. There is no limit to how many times a person responds to discussion. We try to solve the questions by getting answers from many people. By combining a view of a group, you can arrive at a broader conclusion to any given question/doubt.

2. How to get to forums and How to create forum>

On the home page to the top right hand corner, you will find the “Navigation Menu". You will find a link “Forum”. Just click and follow that link to get to “eAnveshan Forum”.

There you will find Create Content. Below Create Content, look for Forum Topic. And from here you can create forum.

Click on the link ” Forum” in the Navigation Menu to see different topics in discussion.

3. How to participate in the Forum Discussion?

On the page of the topic of your choice, please scroll down to find a link "Add a Comment” beneath the topic. Click on it and you will find a text area to type your view.

If you wish to reply to a comment, then click on the “Reply” link pertaining to that particular comment.

Polls

1. What are Polls?

Polls are a way to get collective view of people and see on which suggestion/solution majority agree, without having to discuss issues at length. On eAnveshan, you will find may polls to participate in and you can also create your own.

2. How to create my own poll?

On the home page to the top right hand corner, you will find the “Navigation Menu". You will find a link Create Content” and look for Polls ,here you can create your own poll. Fill in the Title and the choice you would want to offer as answers to your poll.

If you want to add a few more choice answers, please click on the button “Add another choice” and type in the choice answer. Continue this step till you have finished adding all the choice answers to your poll.

Choose the poll status to as active to allow people to participate in the poll. Choose the poll status as closed if you wish to close your poll.
To end your poll within a certain period of time automatically you may set the number of days in the option Poll Duration.

3. Where can I view my poll?
You can view your Poll by clicking on the Polls in Navigation Menu. Remember , you don't have to click on the Poll in the Create Content Section. You can find list of Polls just below Recent Comments and just above User List.

4. How can I participate/comment in a poll?
When you view a poll, you will have to choose an answer in the list of the poll and click on Vote. Your vote gets registered.
To comment in the poll just click on the link comment of the polls and write your views.
