CUSTOMS OF PIOUS PEOPLE ---- BY SHREE MADHWACHARYA
The Pious people should have a liking for Sri Hari who is the controller of body and who is supreme. They should leave their ego, attachment and desire for material objects and should do their duty as a service to God.
1
Remember God while waking at Brahmamahurtam and when one sits after getting up. Go to toilet, brush teeth, do achamana and take bath.
2
Reciting “OdrutAsi varAhEna” hymn one should apply tulasimruttike to the body. Then immerse yourself into the water three times by chanting vasudeva12letter mantra, narayana8letter mantra, Vishnu6letter mantra or Krishna6letter mantra. Then do achamana, then recite “Apo hi shtha” and sprinkle water on the body. Repeat the process once again. This time instead of “Apo hi shtha” recite the Aghamarshana Sukta – “rutvancha satyam cha”.

VYMANIKA SHASTRA - A BACKGROUND
The work “Vymanika Shastra” has appeared in twentieth century in
Sanskrit transcript form and subsequently translated versions in Hindi
and English have been derived. There are different versions with
different titles leading to possible confusion among the readers and
research scholars. We have therefore devoted some effort to place the
facts in the right perspective.
In this process, it is appropriate to commence this topic with the
narration front-lined on G.R. Josyer’s publication, which reads as
follows.
“Maharshi Bharadwaja’s ‘Vymanika Shastra’ or ‘Science of Aeronautics’
as revealed to venerable Subbaraya Shastry and recorded in hand
written Sanskrit script form, translated to English by G.R. Josyer.M.A
[hons] FRES, MRSE.
Four variants with different titles are as follows:
A] Vymanika prakaranam
B] Vymanika shastra
C] Vimana shastra
D] Bruhad Vimana Shastra
Significance:
This is a special ekadashi the benefits of which can cure severe diseases in the body. This is known as the Yogini Ekadashi. Its interesting to note that this Ekadashi is recommended by a great devotee of Lord Shiva, Sri Markandeya Rishi to another Shiva Devotee. Thus gives a clear indication that Ekadashi Vrata is for everyone including Shiva Bhaktas too.
"Oh best of kings, this EkAdasii delivers people who are drowning in the vast ocean of material existence and transports them to the shore of the spiritual world. In all the three worlds, it is the chief of all sacred fasting days. I shall now reveal this truth to you by narrating a history recounted in the PurANas.
Story from Purana:
Koorma Jayanti is celebrated being the second incarnation or avatar of Lord Vishnu – Kurma Avatar. Koorma means Tortoise and the aim of this particular avatar was to help the Devas (gods) and Asuras (demons) in helping in Samudra manthan (Churning of ocean).
Once Durvasa Rushi gave Nirmalya pushpa to Devendra. Devendra put the nirmalya pushpa on his elephant, which kicked with its legs and durvasa was angry over this.
He immediately cursed him, that let Indra shall lose all his properties. Hence, the Devendras lost all their powers and daithyaas with the leadership of Bali Chakravarthy attacked Amaravathi and gained upper hand in the battle between. Soon evil flourished and the asuraas threw devathegalu out of heaven.

HARAYE NAMAHA
Our Vedas / Puranas / Dharma Shastra etc are very precious. They are totally filled with information that can be utilized by mankind with which he or she can lead a happy life. If we seriously try to implement those values into our daily life then we will not have any problems. Bad thoughts will be kept at bay, as it will not allow it to revolve around us. By intention also we will not do wrong things which can hurt people around us.
Out great Rushi’s and Yatis always use to say “SARVE BHAVANTU SHUKHINAHA”. They use to say this earlier and still they say the same. They were always thinking good things for others, they never use to think and do something, which will benefit them and trouble others. If we think good for others then most of our problems will get solved automatically and we will start feeling happy for others and ourselves.

When Ganga came to earth after being released from Mano niyamaka Rudra(controller oof mind-Lord Rudra), her speedy waters wreaked havoc with Jahnu Rishi’s fields and penance. Angered by this, the great sage drank up all of Ganga’s waters to punish her. Seeing this, the Gods prayed to the sage to release Ganga, so that she could proceed on her mission to release the souls of the ancestors of Bhagiratha. Jahnu Rishi agreed and he released Ganga from his ear. Because of this, the Ganga river is also known as Jahnvi, Janhavi or Jahnavi, meaning “daughter of Jahnu”
There was a king names Karthaveeryarjuna, King of Mahishmati, son of Krutaveerya who was a strong devotee of Sri Dattatreya and blessed with his invincibility. He possessed the strength of a thousand arms on the battlefront. He had defeated Raavana at war and was reigning at Mahishmati, full of glory and arrogance.
(Srimad Bhãgavatam Adhyaaya 5)
Rushaba Deva, the paramathma’s one of the incarnation of Paramathma, born to Nabhiraja and Merudevi, when King Nabhiraja worshipped and prayed for a son equal to Paramathma.
In swayambhuva manvantara, Yajna naamaka bhagavantha was the Indra. He himself is now in the avathara of Rushaba. Nabhiraaja, doing tapassu, asked Bhagavantha to give him a son, who is equal to Bhagavantha. There is no one equal to Bhagavantha, so bhagavantha came himself.
After Rushabhadeva was born, Naabhiraaja could not recognize him as the incarnation of Vishnu. He was calling him as son, vatsa, etc., and treated him as son only. Subsequently, seeing the popularity of Rushabadeva among his people, Nabhiraja left for Vishala Badari alongwith his wife, leaving the kingdom to Rushabadeva.
Rushabadeva also observed Gurukulavasa and learnt all Vedas and shastras.
In this incarnation, paramathma preached Dharma for Jnanis.
